Samsung is in the news yet again with the leaks of a new C series of smartphone that the brand is planning to introduce. If rumors are to be believed the series will have a China launch first and then come to India.
Samsung has launched a number of series in the past year and the Korean Giant currently has the A series, J series, E series, S series and the On Series of Android smartphones. The manufacturer also has the Z series of smartphones that run the Tizen OS. The C series is said to be a group of metal clad smartphones as per leaks, it’ll be interesting to see how Samsung place them alongside the already established A series.
The handset that has leaked out is the Galaxy C5 making an appearance in Zauba and the Geekbench site. The device is siad to have a 5.2 inch display with unknown resolution. The Geekbench result tells a bit about the internals on the smartphone and how it performs through the tests. The phone has a Snapdragon Octa Core processor, the number reveals it to be a Snapdragon 617 chipset. The same listing also hints at 3.5 GB of RAM but we think it might be an error and Samsung may have used 4GB instead.
The device has good specs and we can expect Samsung to price it a little higher than its other series. The phone is under testing in India currently and Zauba does point to a price of around Rs. 20,000 in the listing. Samsung has been on a roll these days with the success of the Samsung Galaxy S7 and the recently launched Samsung Galaxy J3. Samsung has lauched a few good features with the Samsung J3 which includes the Bike Mode which is unique to this phone.
