The Galaxy J2 (2018) is the latest budget-friendly phone that Samsung has launched in India. Apart from low-end specs, it features the Samsung Mall app that offers with a visual search that allows user to shoot an image or use an existing lying in the gallery to search and shop across different online shopping sites.

The Galaxy J2 (2018) features a 5-inch Super AMOLED display that supports qHD resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. The Snapdragon 425 SoC that includes a 1.4 GHz quad-core processor powers the phone along with 2 GB of RAM. It has a native storage of 16 GB and it also includes a microSD card slot. The handset comes preloaded with Android 7.1 Nougat. It is fueled by a 2,600mAh battery.
For photography, it has an LED enabled rear-mounted camera of 8-megapixel and a front-facing camera of 5-megapixel which also features a dedicated LED flash. It comes with usual connectivity features like 3.5mm audio jack, microUSB, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 4G VoLTE and dual-SIM.
The handset features a polycarbonate chassis that measures 143.8 x 72.3 x 8.4mm. The same smartphone is already available in South Korea as the Galaxy J2 Pro. However, the handset for the home country has been designed to not to connect to the internet.
