Samsung has always had a plethora of budget devices to cater the lower-end smartphone market, and today, it added the Galaxy J3 Pro to its stable. It comes with a price tag of INR 8,940 and is available exclusively through the recently launched PayTM Mall.
Talking about the phone, the Vice President of the Online Business segment of Samsung India, said, “This is the first time Samsung is launching an online exclusive product, Galaxy J3 Pro, on Paytm Mall. The Galaxy J3 Pro delivers powerful performance, outstanding display and also packs in consumer-centric features developed at our R&D centers in India. This launch will give Paytm Mall consumers the opportunity to buy ‘Galaxy J Series’ which is the largest selling range in India.”
The phone itself has a 5-inch Super AMOLED screen, 1.5GHz Spreadtrum processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage. This can be expanded up to 128GB with an external card. The rear camera is 8MP while the front camera is 5MP. It comes with support for dual SIM and is 4G enabled as well! The phone runs Android Lollipop with a 2600mAh battery. It is equipped with WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and MicroUSB port.
The phone also has LED flash, and makes available to its consumers the proprietary Ultra Data Saving Mode, which promises to save up to 50% of data usage for its customers. This phone seems uniquely aimed to attack the budget smartphone market, though the support for VoLTE is severely missed.
