The launch of Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Iron Man (Limited Edition) has been awaited for quite some time. The media is waiting to see the sales for this device, especially after the disappointing sales of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. The company had teamed up with Marvel and announced that the handset will be launched in South Korea on Wednesday. Along with this, the phone will also be launched in China and Hong Kong in June.
Details about the device like the price or whether it will be reaching other markets or has not been mentioned. This limited edition phone comes as a part of the Samsung-Marvel tip-up for the Avengers: Age of Ultron movie.
Since the phone is based on the movie, the front and rear panels have the same colors of the of the Iron Man suit. the Galaxy S6 Edge Iron Man is in dark red at the side in bezels with a golden finish. All this is added up with the rear panel featuring a monochrome Iron-Man mask image.
This limited edition features the same specifications as the regular Galaxy S6 Edge though the limited edition come with a 64GB inbuilt storage variant. The company will be packing a themed wireless charger that looks like the arc reactor which comes along with a clear cover made to ‘enhance the device’s exclusive design.’
The Galaxy Edge features a 5.1-inch Quad HD, 1440×2560 pixels, Super Amoled display with a 577ppi pixel density. The phone runs on the Android 5.0 Lollipop and alongside is powered by a 64-bit octa core, quad-core 2.1GHz+ quad-core 1.5GHz. Exynos 7420 Soc is coupled with a 3GB RAM (LPDDR4). In the camera section, the rear camera is 16-megapixel with OIS i.e. the optical image stabilisation along with a LED flash. The front facing camera is a 5-megapixel front camera on board and the device is powered by a 26000mAH battery.
