Samsung has started to roll its media blitzkrieg for its newest and most anticipated smartphone of 2013 – the Galaxy S IV. The device is to be unveiled on the 14th of March at an event in New York City. Samsung earlier today released a teaser video pertaining to this very event – officially kicking off the campaign to welcome the Galaxy S4. The video showcases to the viewers a boy named Jeremy who according to Samsung would be the “Secret Messenger” for the Unpacked event that is scheduled for the 14th.
In the video, Jeremy is shown to peek in to a box (obviously containing a Galaxy S4 and runs home with it. The video ends with Jeremy being shown sitting down at his desk in a room with a tagline.. To be continued..
It was late last month that Samsung issued press invites to its Unpacked event – and ever since then, the blogosphere has been churning out stories and expectations from the new flagship Galaxy. The talk is about the Galaxy S4 allegedly getting an eight-core Exynos processor – a separate eight-core graphics processing unit and a huge 4.99 inch Super Amoled display. There would be 2 Gb worth of RAM and the camera megapixel count is set to rise to a 13-megapixel rear camera unit.
Another feature that the phone is likely to sport happens to be an eye tracking software that would be programmed to perform key tasks. The New York Times reports that the technology would track the movement of your eyes at it watches the display say for example while reading an ebook. Once your eye reaches the end of a page, the technology would automatically switch to the next page. The last years Galaxy S3 had a similar technology – but a primitive form of the same wherein it did not dim the display if you were looking at it.
Anyway it would be interesting to see what Samsung comes up with this time.
