Samsung Reports Note II Sales: 5 Million Units

Samsung has proven the critics wrong with its original phablet, the Galaxy Note selling over 10 million units in less than a year. It seems that they have repeated the success with the Galaxy Note II. Samsung has announced that the 5.5″ smartphone+tablet , the Galaxy Note II has sold 5 million units already. Note II sold 3 million units in 37 days of launch while the additional 2 million has sold out in less than a month.

Samsung is predicting total sales of 20 million for its Note II. Samsung has mastered the smartphone industry with a wide range of smartphones ranging from the low end Samsung Galaxy Y & others that include several Dual SIM Android devices to the Samsung Galaxy SIII that has been a widely recommended Android smartphone for the high-end segment.

Samsung has succeeded in the premium range with its Galaxy S series that has seen a healthy bump every year for the past three generations and they seem to be adding another popular high-end series to their line-up with the Note II. Samsung may also take the credit for forcing an otherwise stubbon Apple to increase the screen size for the iPhone after 5 years of 3.5″ display.

Samsung is doing all it can to make sure that it’s Smartphones sell to the masses, this includes a Dual SIM version of the Note II for China. The Samsung Galaxy Note II currently costs Rs 35,500 in India.
