South Korean electronics major Samsung has announced three brand new high end notebook models in the Indian market. The three new devices span across different categories – one being a “normal” laptop while the other two being ultrabooks. Let’s see what these models have in store for you.
Like we said, one of the models happens to be a full fledged notebook. It belongs to Samsung’s Series 9 and comes with a 15 inch display. It is a successor to the famed 13 inch series 9 notebook that samsung had launched back in August. The only difference here is the fact that this one gets a larger display. Like its older 13 inch cousin, this one too gets a thin chassis and is just 14.9 mm thick. At 1.65 kg, it is quite lightweight as well. With a price tag of Rs.1,07,990, however this one is definitely not light on your pockets!
The two other products to be launched are ultrabooks with the first one being a touch screen enabled one. The device belongs to Samsung’s series 5 line up. It features a 13.3 inch SuperBright 10-finger multitouch capable display. The resolution is 1366*768 pixels. Powering the ultrabook is an Intel Core i7 (third generation) 3517U processor. It supports up to 12GB of RAM depending on the variant you choose. You can also add in a 500 GB hard drive or an SSD. Connectivity options include an uSB 3.0 port, two USB 2.0 ports and a full HDMI port. Under the hood is a 4 cell battery powering the device for up to a company claimed backup time of 6.7 hours. The samsung Series 5 ultra touch – as the device is know will be available for a starting price of Rs. 64,990.
Samsung also launched another ultrabook – but with an AMD processor, also belonging to the series 5 lineup. This one will set you back by Rs.43,990.
