All right, we must state up front that this is purely a rumour but as it comes from no fewer than THREE Samsung Store executives and two market observers (none of whom want to be named, for obvious reasons), we think it’s worthy of being published. The much-hyped iPad killer, the Samsung Galaxy Tab is being expected in India next month. That is the good news. The bad is that its price will start in the rather princely Rs 45,000-Rs 50,000 range. And no, there is no talk of any tie-ups with Indian service-providers, so users might well have to shell out extra moolah for a connection (unless they want to stick to good old Wi-Fi). Yes, it is only a rumour and utterly unconfirmed at that, but heck, when so many people (all of whom know their stuff) say the same thing, we think it comes seriously close to being believable. We just hope they are wrong about the stiff price tag!
Update: Its official, costs Rs 380000 – details here.
