Seems like Samsung has made the final push to prove that the Galaxy S2 isn’t delayed and would launch in the timeline provided. The UK launch date for Samsung Galaxy S II has been confirmed as 1st May. Samsung recently upped the CPU on the SGS2 and made it a 1.2GHz, fueling rumors of a delay. However the UK release in May and already announced April availability in Korea is encouraging.
The original Galaxy S was one of the most popular Android devices through 2010 and still does well. The Galaxy S II thus has a lot of buzz already and gives a tough tough competition to recently outed Optimus 2X and Optimus Black from LG.
The pricing is being kept a secret for now, however Samsung has promised availability across major carriers / retailers in UK and we would expect a global rollout shortly after. The SGS2 features a 8MP shooter capable of 1010p video recording, Gingerbread 2.3 (Android), slimmest ever design at 8.49mm and a powerful CPU. Expectations couldn’t be higher!
