Recently Google announced that it is shutting down its video site (video.google.com) completely. This had to happen someday with YouTube leading the video work for Google (uploads to Google Video was disabled in 2009) and most of you would have not cared for this little piece of news.
But I had a small stint with Google Videos in 2007 and have some personal videos up there. And luckily google today announced in an email that they are offering a shortcut to transfer those vidoes to Youtube (wonder why this was missing originally). Its a simple one click procedure. Head to your google videos status page and you will see the link:
A single button click and all my videos are now ready to go on YouTube! A page opens up on YouTube (note, I have a YouTube setup already on the same Google account) giving you the publish option for all videos individually.
The upload to YouTube is instant and here we go, memories preserved!
