Sony Ericsson has officially added two new devices to its Xperia Line Up of devices with the announcement of the Xperia Neo and the QWERTY keyboard laden Xperia Pro. Both the phones run Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and features a 1Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor to take care of the number crunching. Th devoces sport a 3.7 inch 854*480 “Bravia” display. There is an 8 megapixel camera at the rear long with a 2 Megpixel one at the front. This can of course be used for Video calling.
The Xperia New also gets an expansive slide out QWERTY keyboard that should make typing easier on the device.
These two phones would be placed below the flasgship devices that would obviously be the Xperia Arc and the just announced Xperia Play, the first Gaming centric Android device. We have already seen live video of the Xperia Arc here and details about the Xperia Play here.
As for the Xperia Neo and the Pro, these phones would be made available by the end of the 1st quarter and second quarter of 2011 respectively. No pricing details yet.
y didnt they just put the 2mp camera on the front on the Arc too ? if they can squeeze 8mp under 10mm thickness, they can definitely push in another 2 mp above it on the front…….
