Mobile-Review has posted a detailed overview of a phone that looks to be a successor to the Symbian powered Vivaz. The Vivaz 2, which is also known by the code names MT15i or Halon looks to be a decent handset with a juicy spec sheet.
When it arrives sometime in April, it would run Android 2.3 and would be coupled with a 1Ghz ARM 7 processor along with 512 MB of RAM. Like its older sibling, it will have an 8-megapixel shooter that would shoot videos at 720p. Then there is the 480×854 pixel “Bravia-quality” display that should bedazzle you with its crisp colors. The phone also gets a now almost de facto HDMI port.
To power all this, Sony Ericsson has packed in a removable 1500mAH battery. Sony Ericsson has retained its Timescape UI on the handset. Thankfully, it is much zippier on this one thanks to the faster hardware.
Expect this on to be priced at around the €320–350 (Rs. 22,000 – Rs.25,000) mark and an India release in the months to come.
