As India is waiting for the 3G revolution to roll out across India. We thought of doing some internet speed test over Edge/GPRS, WiFi and 3G. 3G Speed test gave us awesome result compared to our old fashioned Edge/GPRS. We just wanted to figure out what we should expect from 3G technology as the bidding has recently got over for 3G spectrum across India. Here are some speed test results, you will see what we should expect when 3G network is launched in India [Tested on Apple iPhone 4]. Rest of the world is moving towards 4G network however in India we’re still waiting for 3G to roll out. Currently it’s only BSNL/MTNL network provides 3G which more often than not gives poor 3G reception. The key point here is that most network providers will have their 3G network setup soon in India. If we have to believe the rumors then all network providers should launch 3G network by December across India. What do you think about the 3G speeds in India?
