Spice launched its new XLife smartphone series in India. In this series the company has launched XLife 404 for Rs. 3,190; XLife 431q at Rs. 3,999; XLife 431q Lite at Rs. 3,850 and XLife 512 at Rs. 4,499. The company further stated that the four smartphones will be available via retail stores and the company’s online store.
The new Spice XLife smartphone comes with a dual-SIM support which runs on Android 4.4 KitKat. The XLife 404 features a 4-inch WVGA (480×800 pixels) display along with a 1GHz single-core processor and a 256MB RAM.
The device has an inbuilt storage of 512MB and expandable upto 332GB. Under the camera section, the device has a 3.2-megapixel rear camera with a LED flash and a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera. The phone supports 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, GPRS/ EDGE and 1450mAh battery.
The Spice XLife 431q Lite sports almost the same specifications as the XLife 404. The few differences include the 1.2GHz quad-core processor and the 512 RAM and 4GB internal memory and a 1750mAh battery.
The Spice XLife 512 features a 5-inch FWVGA (480x854pixels) with other similar features. The device sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash and packs a 2000mAh battery. The rest of the other features are similar to the XLife 431q.
Amandeep Singh, CEO, stated that the they observed a product gap and significant market opportunity in the sub Rs 5,000 segment of smartphones offering technology and design. He continued stating that a large population of the Indian consumers still use feature phones and hence a huge potential towards these smartphones.
