GizmoMeet #4 Delhi was our fourth and the second Delhi edition on the eve of OnlyGizmo’s fourth anniversary. And the Delhites gift by making the GizmoMeet #4 the biggest edition till date.
While over 80 people attended the meet, what we are more excited about is the open atmosphere that we could generate and the conversations / discussions that occurred. We saw a diverse crowd with interest areas ranging from open source to robotics and smartphones to microprocessors.
A group debate on mobile operating systems and impromptu contests made the atmosphere lively. Special mention must be made of Android Ajit who was leading the pack against iOS fans and was our in house expert displaying and explaining the Delhites Android phones and its features. We also heard that some of them ended up rooting an Android phone live at the event! But as soon as your jump to tablets, it was iPad’s all around. We are also happy to share the date with the iPhone 4 India launch.
Our partners Dell And HP provided us with some unique stuff. While Dell showcased its XPS 15z for the first time in India, HP demoed its ePrint innovation with attendees emailing their photographs to print at the event.
Several bloggers and journalists attended the event and to our surprise quite a few avid OnlyGizmos readers from Mumbai and Bangalore turned up as well. All in all the event has left us all in great spirits and has motivated us to go ahead and conjure up another GizmoMeet pretty soon and we will definitely want to head to a new city.
