Before it hits theaters on December 17, well over a month from now, a few lucky souls (including your truly) had the chance to be a part of an exclusive sneak preview of one of the most awaited movies of the year; TRON: Legacy. At the IMAX Wadala, the preview was a preceded by an absolutely electric light and sound show complete with lasers, electronica, models in TRON inspired costumes and a bunch of noisy and equally excited Tron fans. The major head turner was the 8 feet long TRON light cycle showcased right at the entrance!
The light and sound show welcomed us aboard was followed by all important 23 minute preview of the movie.
It was an exhilarating experience with power packed action scenes, mind boggling graphics – all in 3D! When we were finally out of the theater, I am sure most of us were left wanting for more. For the record, most of the TRON scenes were made post “Avatar” and from at least what we saw, this is going to be one hell of a visual treat when its released.
And yes, watch it in 3D – to understand what we are on about here!
The saddest part about all this? We’d have to wait just a over a month to experience this in all its full glory – on December 17, 2010!
So, who else is thinking of a first day, first show movie outing? We’re on for sure!
Yeah!! even i was there.. failed to understand the idea behind a 23 minute preview.. to be honest, i don’t like 3d movies, and yes, i didn’t like Avatar. Even the hype for Tron Light cycle was a big let down. hope the movie does justice to Tron (comics).
