We cannot say that we have ironclad information in this regard, but there are some Very strong rumours that ViewSonic will be launching at least two tablets in India on 8 December. We are hearing market murmurs that the company will be launching a 7 inch and a 10 inch tablet on that day, with units getting available in stores later this month. Although it would be fruitless to speculate at this stage, we are kind of hoping that one of the tablets will the much-hyped G-Tablet which runs Android 2.2, has a 10-inch (1024 x 600) display, 1.3 MP camera, Wi-Fi connectivity (nope, no SIM card goes into this), 16 GB onboard memory, and best of all, is powered by NVIDIA’s 1GHz Tegra 2 Dual Core ARM Cortex 9 processor.
The dealers we talked to would not be drawn into speculating about the price of the product but seemed to indicate that it would be in the range of Rs 25,000-30,000, which would make it a headache for all three major players in the Indian market – Samsung, Dell and Olive. We are kind of keeping our fingers crossed for an even lower price. We will discover come December 8.

Hey Guys,
Just wanted to give you an headsup that the ViewSonic Tablet looks just like the OlivePad! Check out http://goo.gl/9qZKi
Check out the pics. Its same as the OlivePad. Moreover the OlivePad and proposed Spice MI300 Tablet are the same. OlivePad’s manufacturers are Foxconn. It looks like Olive doesnt have any exclusivity with regards to the tablet i.e. we may see many more with the same looks as well as features (like an underpowered ARM 11 processor)
