Even though the rumor mill was expecting Vivo to announce V7 and V7+ phones in September, the company had only introduced V7+ smartphone. Today, it has finally unveiled the Vivo V7 smartphone in Indonesia.
Undoubtedly, the 24-megapixel selfie camera that is equipped with a Selfie Softlight flash is the USP of the Vivo V7. Face Beauty 7.0 allows the front camera of the phone to shoot enhanced selfies. It can also improve the appeal of the user in video calls on popular apps such as WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Line and so on.
A 16-megapixel camera is available on the rear panel of the smartphone. It has an ability to capture 64-megapixel UHD images by stitching four photos. The rear camera is coupled with features like PDAD and LED flash.
The 5.7-inch FullView IPS LCD screen available on the Vivo V7 offers an aspect ratio of 18:9. It supports an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels. The company claims that the smartphone offers an impressive screen-to-body ratio of 83.6 percent.
The Snapdragon 450 SoC and 4 GB of RAM are the driving force of the Vivo V7. The 3,000mAh battery of the smartphone does not carry fast charging capabilities.
The native storage available on the Vivo V7 is 32 GB. The Chinese firm has included an exclusive slot for adding a microSD card of up to 256 GB. The V7 is a dual-SIM phone that is equipped with connectivity options 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.2, 3.5mm audio jack, microUSB, and GPS. It lacks the Hi-Fi audio chip that is available on the Vivo V7+
The fingerprint scanner is present on the back panel of the Vivo V7. It comes preinstalled with FunTouch OS 3.2 which is nothing but a customized version of Android 7.1 Nougat. Vivo has also included some of its own apps on the phone. App Clone let users to use two accounts on apps like WhatsApp, BBM, WeChat, Viber and Zalo. Face Access allows the front camera to scan the face of the user to unlock the phone. Smart Split 3.0 is a split-screen mode for running two apps on the same screen.
Vivo V7 comes in colors like Matte Black and Gold. It is available with a pricing of Rp 3,799,000 (~Rs. 18,335). The company has already confirmed that the Vivo V7 would be landing in India on 20th November.
