Looks like its raining phablets nowadays. On the same day that Samsung announced a successor to the much successful Galaxy Grand, the Galaxy Grand 2, WickedLeak, the online retailer who sells smartphones under the Wammy brand has unveiled its newest phablet here in India. The device, known as the Wammy Titan 3 boasts of a 5.7-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) FHD IPS display and is claimed to come with a scratch resistant Dragon Trail Glass (OGS). The display size is similar to the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 – but smaller than that of the Galaxy Mega series as well as the Sony Xperia Z Ultra. The phablet is powered by the tried and tested Mediatek MTK 6589 Turbo Quad-core 1.5GHz processor. There is 1GB of DDR3 of RAM and an internal storage capacity of 16 GB which can be thankfully expanded further using micro SD cards.
The Wammy Titan 3 runs Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean OS at launch and the specs are more than capable of running KitKat –provided an update is released in the near future. The camera department is handled by a 13MP unit at the rear complete with an LED Flash and a BSI sensor. The front camera is good for 5MP stills. The rear camera can obvious capture videos in full HD.
Connectivity options are aplenty with support for 3G, WiFi, GPS and Bluetooth. As most other devices of its class, this one is Dual SIM too. Powering all this hardware is a 3200 mAh battery that should easily last you an entire day of nominal usage.
