Sony India has launched its new LED TV line-up in India which is powered by X-Reality. The new series was unveiled by Mr. Masaru Tamagawa, MD, Sony India in a conference yesterday.
Sony India has introduced 15 LED TV models which fall in the range of 22 to 65 inches. The whole series is internet enabled which allows the integration of television with the internet, allowing people to access and browse the net while they are watching television. Out of the 15 models launched 9 models are full HD 3D capable as well.
Sony India has aggressive plans to grow their market share in the television industry which is quite similar to the ones they have for their Vaio laptops division. Sony India plans to maintain its leadership in the flat panel display segment by maintaining its current market share of 30%. Fow which they plan to set up an additional 1,000 outlets in this Fiscal year itself. Sony India has also earmarked a budget of Rs. 150 crores for its multimedia ad campaigns across the nation.
