The above teaser from the company contains the hashtag #SwitchToSmart. It suggests that the upcoming Mi TV series may come with cheaper pricing than 55-inch Mi TV 4 that is available in the market with Rs. 39,999 pricing. Hence, it will be easier for customers to switch to low priced smart LED TVs from the company.
It seems that the company will be announcing the 32-inch Mi TV 4A and 43-inch Mi TV 4A soon since they were temporarily found listed on the official website as well. The listings of these upcoming Mi TVs were first spotted by a Twitter who had revealed the full specs and pricing of Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro before they were officially launched in India.
Shown below is the listing of the 32-inch Mi TV 4A that has a price tag of Rs. 12,999. The listing is no longer accessible as it has been taken down. It could be the very same 32-inch Mi TV 4A that Xiaomi had released in China in May last year.
It is expected to come with a 32-inch HD display that will support 1366 x 768 pixels resolution. It is powered by Amlogic T962 chipset that includes a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor and 1 GB of RAM. It features 4 GB of inbuilt storage and comes with Android OS modified with PatchWall UI. The other features of the 32-inch Mi TV 4A include 2 x 5W speaker, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 2 x HDMI 2.0, USB and Ethernet.
The other listing for Mi TV that has also been taken down did not contain its name. However, through the source code it has been known that the listing belongs to 43-inch Mi TV 4A. It is listed with a price tag of Rs. 21,999. This model was also launched in China alongside the 32-inch variant in 2017.
The 43-inch Mi TV 4A has a 43-inch screen that supports Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It features the same Amlogic T962 SoC that consists quad-core processor that clocks at 1.5 GHz and 2 GB of RAM. It includes 8 GB of inbuilt storage and is loaded with Android OS customized with PatchWall UI
The 43-inch Mi TV 4A is equipped with 2 x 6W speaker, Dolby Surround Sound, DTS and Bass Boost. Its other features are Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, 2 x HDMI 2.0, 2 x USB 2.0, AV, Ethernet and support for HDR 10 and HLG.
According to Xiaomi’s co-founder and global head of Mi TV wing Chuang Wang, the company could have launched Mi TV in India three years ago. The reason why its arrival got delayed was because the company took time to partner with various content providers. The 55-inch Mi TV 4 is not only available with a low pricing of Rs. 39,999, but also it comes with loads of free content through partners like Sony LIV, Hungama Play, Alt Balaji, Hotstar, Voot and more. Compared to Samsung’s smart TV, the 55-inch Mi TV 4 is selling at up to 25 times lower pricing. Moreover, its pricing is lower than smart TVs from brands like Sanyo and Vu in India that are selling cheaply priced TVs online.
