After teasing the arrival of Mi TV 4A series for a week, Xiaomi has finally announced the budget-friendly 32-inch and 43-inch Smart LED TVs in India today. Both the TVs were unveiled by the Chinese manufacturer in China last year. However, the newly launched Mi TV 4A series for India is a customized edition that brings endless hours Indianized content and enhanced features.
Mi TV 4A Series Specifications and Features
The Xiaomi Mi 4A 32-inch supports HD resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels whereas the 43-inch model delivers Full HD resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. Both the TVs offer 178-degree viewing angle and 60 Hz refresh rate. The Mi TV 4A series is fueled by T962 Amlogic quad-core processor that is supported by 1 GB of RAM.
Both Mi TV 4A variants include an inbuilt storage of 8 GB. When it comes to connectivity, the 32-inch model offers 3 HDMI ports and 2 USB 2.0 ports, while the 43-inch model has 3 HDMI ports, 3 USB 2.0 ports and one S/PDIF audio port. Both the TVs come with common connectivity features such as Wi-Fi, Ethernet, AV and 3.5mm headphone port.
The audio experience has been optimized for India as both the smart TVs are equipped two 10W speakers along with DTS-HD. The Mi TV 4A series provides its users with a 11-button Mi Remote. It can be not only used for controlling TV, but also set-top box by using the Rs. 299 worth IR cable.
The Mi TV 4A series ships with PatchWall OS that provides a single and very easy user interface to access content from set-top box and Xiaomi’s partnered content providers like Hotstar, Voot, Voot Kids, Sony Liv, Hungama Play, Zee5, Sun NXT, ALT Balaji, Viu, TVF, and Flickstree. It allows Mi TV 4A users to enjoy 500,000+ hours of content from 15 different languages. Xiaomi claims that around 80 percent of the content made available through its media partners is free. The PatchWall OS is intelligent platform that can understand the usage pattern of the user and accordingly suggest online and offline content.
Mi TV 4A Pricing and Availability
The 32-inch and 43-inch Mi TV 4A series will be sold alongside the 55-inch Mi TV 4 flagship device that was unveiled in February with Rs. 55,000 pricing. Most of the Smart TVs from competitors from leading brands are priced between Rs. 25,000 and Rs. 30,000 for the 32-inch model and Rs. 35,000 and Rs. 45,000 for the 43-inch model. However, the 32-inch and 43-inch Mi TV 4A models that are packed with impressive specs and very user-friendly PatchWall OS are respectively priced at Rs. 13,999 and Rs. 22,999. With JioFi connection, Mi TV 4A buyers can avail an instant cashback of Rs 2,200.
Xiaomi will begin the sales of Mi TV 4A series in India through Mi.com, Mi Home and Flipkart beginning from March 13. The company is expecting huge demand for the low-priced Mi TV 4A series. Hence, it has promised to prepare adequate stock of 32-inch and 43-inch Mi TV 4A available for the first sale. Also, the Chinese firm has confirmed that it will be carrying out weekly sales on Tuesdays and Fridays.
