Following the footsteps of Chinese giant Xiaomi, Yu have launched its new device in the fitness category called YuFit. It is priced at Rs 999/- and will be available on the official YU website.
YuFit is powered by HealthifyMe which provides fitness tips and assistance. YuFit makes a distinction overv the MiBand by sporting an OLED Display which displays the time, activity record and task reminder. It is also claimed to be waterproof.
Comparing MiBand with YuFit, both have their own respective apps called MiFit and HealthifyMe to provide all the necessary details like steps tracking, sleep tracking, calories burnt. Apart from that, notifications for the missed calls, messages and alarm are the other facilities provided by both the devices.
In terms of the look and feel, although MiBand misses out on display, it still feels great to wear and is an eye candy whereas on the other hand the YuFit feels ordinary to look at. The MiBand comes in various bright colors internationally, but in India both the MiBand as well as the YuFit are only available in black color. We hope that both these companies will bring different colors in India soon. MiBand guarantees a 30 day battery backup while there is no such news of the battery life of the YuFit. The reason for the longer battery of the MiBand could be the absence of the display unlike the YuFit band which also makes it lighter. MiBand has only 3 LED display lights.
The devices will be sold exclusively online on their respective sites at a price tag of Rs 999/-. MiBand is being sold already whereas YuFit will be sold in India from the next month onwards.
