Chinese smartphone brand Xiaomi who is also considered as ‘China’s Apple’ is all set to ship the Redmi Note into India. The Xiaomi Red Note had been on the shopping lists of tech enthusiasts all over India afterall, Xiaomi did make an impressive debut in July. It had created a frenzy with its three handsets, Mi3, Mi2 and Redmi 1s which were sold exclusively on Flipkart and were hugely successful.
Hugo Barra, the Vice President of Xiaomi Mi posted on Facebook that the company had sold 10,000 Redmi Note devices within 40 seconds in Indonesia on Thursday. Following the line, he added that Redmi Note is coming next to India. When Xiaomi M1 was sold in India through a SALE on Flipkart, 20000 units were sold into 2.4 seconds! There is no such fixed date of release yet, but one can expect it to arrive in the coming weeks.
Xiaomi Redmi Note will come with a price tag of Rs. 9999 which it had revealed during the time of their smartphones (MI3 and Redmi 1S) launch. During this launch, the asking amount of the Redmi 1S was mentioned to be Rs. 6999, but by the time it appeared on the Flipkart it had dropped to Rs. 5999. Hence, we won’t be surprised if the Xiaomi phablet comes with a reduced asking amount. It would be a good deal considering the features that are packed in the phablet in exchange for that amount.
The Redmi Note features a 5.5-inch IPS-LCD display with a pixel density of 267ppi. It runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with a MIUI v5 skin. It supports dual-SIM with dual standby and is powered by a1.7GHz octa-core processor and a 2GB RAM. It has 8GB built-in storage which is expandable upto 64GB.
