Xolo, the famed smartphones maker from India is also of late dabbling with tablets. Their latest entry into the overcrowded Indian low cost tablets segment happens to be the Xolo Play Tab 7.0. This is the second device sporting the “Play” branding from Xolo and like its smartphone counterpart — the Play Tab 7.0 also gets the Nvidia Tegra 3 mobile processor complete with the quad core architecture and that famed extra power saver core.
“We’re replicating the success we’ve achieved in the smartphone category now in tablets. Xolo Play Tab 7.0 marks the first tablet in the XOLO Play category of products. Similar to XOLO Play T1000 smartphone launched in July, the Tab delivers similar entertainment now on a bigger 7-inch screen,” said Sunil Raina, Business Head at Xolo, announcing the launch.
The Xolo Tab features a 7- inch 1280 x 800 WXGA IPS LCD display and gets 8 GB of inbuilt memory. This can of course be expanded further to 32 GB with Micro SD cards. The device can play back full HD 1080p content and thanks to the 4000 mAH battery, it can survive a day or so of nominal usage. The device like other Tegra chip toting tablets, come with its own Game Store called the “TegraZone” from where you can find Tegra Optimized games and apps.
The device has been priced at 12,999 and is available in stores across India.
