Xolo today has launched the XOLO Q900, expanding its range in the quad-core smartphone arena. Xolo has been trying its best to gain popularity in the Android smartphone ecosystem with devices like Xolo Play, Q1000S and A500S.
The Xolo Q900 sports a 4.7 inch screen that offers 720p HD resolution (1280 x 720 pixels) with a pixel density of 312 ppi. It runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and is powered by the 1.2 GHz quad-core Mediatek MTK6589 Processor with PowerVR SGX 544 GPU and 1 GB RAM. It is worthy of noting that many Indian smartphones are available with processors manufactured by Mediatek which is gaining popularity including the Sony Xperia C.
There is an 8 MegaPixel rear camera with LED Flash and BSI sensor capable of shooting images in HDR and Panaroma. It can also record full HD (1080p) videos. Housed in the front is a 2 MegaPixel camera in the front that supports 3G video calls. On the storage front, the XOLO Q900 has 4 GB internal memory and can be expanded using a microSD card up to 32 GB.
The support for all features on the XOLO Q900 comes from the 1800 mAh Li-Ion battery. Xolo claims that it can support 18 hours of continuous Music Playback and 5 hours of Video Playback. On the standby mode it can last up to 384 hours on 2G and 298 hours on 3G, while the talk time on 2G is 13 hours and on 3G it is 10 hours.
The XOLO Q900 is a dual SIM smartphone and will be available in white color at a price of Rs. 12,999/-
