The Xperia X1 is the first device launched by Sony Ericsson in the Xperia line up of Smartphones. The Xperia X1 comes with Windows Mobile 6.1 which is quite outdated right now and difficult to use so the guys at XDA developers who still use the Xperia X1 decided to port the famous CyanogenMod ROM (CM7 to be specific) to give it a taste of Android.
Sony Ericsson and even the carriers have stopped the updates and support for the X1, it’s the developer community which keeps this phone running at the current stage. This ROM is currently in alpha stage and is not recommended for daily use, Gmail, Market, Browser and Bluetooth have also been reported not working. , but i am sure that if anyone who is still using the device would love to flash Android on it.
If you are interested in flashing Android onto your Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 then you can follow our guide to Flash Cyanogenmod 7 on the Xperia X1.
