Yu Televentures, a subsidiary of Micromax has launched Yunique 2 in the budget range, a successor to last year’s Yunique. The phone is priced at Rs. 5,999 and can be purchased exclusively from Flipkart starting 27th July. As a budget offering, Yu Yunique 2 seems pretty decent considering its specifications. Let’s take a look at what the phone has to offer.
Design wise, Yunique 2 looks simple and owing to its 5-inch HD display, the phone is quite comfortable to hold as well. The display is strengthened by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 which ensures additional protection. The phone comes in two different colours – Champagne Gold and Coal Black.
In terms of performance, the Yu Yunique 2 is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6737 clocked at 1.3GHz. The phone also comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The storage can be expanded via a microSD card till up to 64GB.
Yu Yunique 2 sports a rear camera of 13-megapixel and a front selfie camera of 5-megapixel. It has a battery capacity of 2500mAh which could have been slightly better considering the price range. The phone comes with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box which is appreciable.
Yu Yunique 2 comes with a Truecaller integration which allows the phone to have a built-in caller ID and spam detection feature. Truecaller might partner with more such brands in providing built-in features as an integration.
The phone features 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS/ A-GPS, FM radio, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a Micro-USB port for charging.
Yu Yunique 2 seems like a total package with an attractive price range. However, we will only know how good the phone is once we get to use it.
