Zen Mobile Announces Feature Packed Ultrafone 701 HD: On Preorder Now

With the likes of Micromax and Karbonn gunning it out in the highly competitive, newly emerged “low cost – high end” mobile phones market (I think I just coined that term!), other players too seem to have made up their minds and have started jumping on to the bandwagon. Zen Mobiles is one such phone maker and the company has just announced the launch of a new high end handset. The device in question happens to be the Zen Ultrafone 701 HD and like the same suggests, it belongs to Zen’s new Ultrafone range which would house the company’s high end devices. The 701 HD is the first of the lot and is currently Zen Mobiles’ flagship Android handset.

Let’s now delve a bit deeper in to the specifications and features that you would find on this phone. We start with the processor which in this case happens to be a quad core chip that runs at a cool 1.2 Ghz. We assume this to be a MediaTek based chipset. This processor is supported with an ample sounding 1GB of RAM. The display measures 5 inches across and sports a resolution of 1280*&20 pixels which is not bad at all. The display technology used is IPS.

The camera on the phone happens to take images at 8 megapixels with autofocus and boasts of a BSI sensor as well. There is a front 3.2 megapixel camera for your video calling exploits. The rear camera can capture videos in full HD. On the software scheme of things, the device runs Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). The phone comes with 4 GB of ROM and gets a micro SD card slot s well for memory expansion.  The 2000 Mah battery should last you an entire day of nominal usage.
