Noida based company Zync Global has announced the launch of its new Android powered tablet, the Zync Pad Z990 in India. The Android 4.0 running tablet is priced at Rs.8990 – making it one of the cheapest Android 4.0 toting device you can buy now.
The Zync 990 gets a 7 inch capacitive display with a resolution of 800*480 pixels and supports 5 point multi-touch. Powering the device is a single core processor that runs at 1.2 Ghz. The tablet comes with 4GB of onboard memory with an option to expand it all the way to 32 GB using micro SD cards. It also boasts of 1GB of RAM which we believe should be decent enough to run most applications.
While there is no SIM card slot on the device, it can use USB dongles to connect to the Internet. Other connectivity options include Wi-Fi b/g/n and micro USB. Zync has shockingly left out Bluetooth out of the connectivity options in this tablet. The tablet has a very basic 0.3 megapixel camera which I found to be quite decent and snappy. But then, the resolution would keep you unhappy most of the time. But then, at this price we are not complaining!
The Zynch Z990 is already on sale in India and can be purchased from a host of online stores. The company is already in talks with a host of retailers to increase its presence in the retail sector too.
