Call Of Duty is an action packed series that gives you a real World War feeling. Having enjoyed the previous editions of this superb action series - World At War looks tempting. Though I am yet to have my hands on it; here are the industry reactions to COD: World At War that was released on 11th Nov for Microsoft Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, Sony PlayStation 2 & 3, Windows PCs and Nintendo DS.
World At War begins during the Pacific campaign in 1944 with The First Marine Division fighting the Japanese at Peleliu in the Palau Islands, east of the Philippines. The U.S. assault, according to Military History Online had the highest casualty rate of any War in the Pacific amphibious invasion.
“Using the same engine as Call of Duty 4, World at War looked predictably sharp. Light beams shining through the dense jungle and other whiz-bang explosions were on display. Speaking of that jungle, the soldiers wore camouflage that seemed to blend in even better than Solid Snake, a nice touch.”

The PlayStation 2 (abbreviated "PS2") is Sony’s second video game console, the successor to the successful PlayStation and the predecessor to the PlayStation 3 as part of the PlayStation series.
These days we are hearing a lot of the PS3’s and the Xboxes’; but folks it was the PS2 which revolutionized the gaming world and caught the attention of the bored gamers most of which were really not happy with the gaming experience that the outdated 8 bits and 16 bits gaming devices provided and also not to forget the irritating long wait people had to bear while installing the games on their PC’s. It would take around 50 minutes for the game to install and then to your pc would show that it requires high configuration…graphic cards… and the pathetic operating of the keyboards. No doubt the PC games had good graphics and and excellent sound quality but it could just not quench the thirst of the gaming freaks out there…
As much as the respite it provided, it was the amazing revolution that the PS2 had created with the amazing graphics, sound quality and yes this time along with the superfluous controls which left the gamers spell-binded at once and such was its effect that it airlifted the once stagnating gaming industry to the level we see it today.
PS2 is much more ahead then the PC games and also how can we forget about the vibrating consoles which would give an ultimate playing experience. PS2 also gave a boost to some of the games which were flops on the PC eg- Grand Turismo…and it also gave the gamers some of the best action games eg- Def Jam Fight for NY, Raw vs Smackdown, Tekken etc.. and till now PS2 fans are waiting for the new games to arrive as the manufacturing of games was stopped in 2007 but the cd’s are still abundantly available in the market…..
Also considering the fact that the PS2 is still available in the market only for 8k compared to the 24k price tag that you would have to shell out to buy that ever so expensive PS3. PS3 is not such a big upgrade from a PS2 hence it is still not a bad option for the amateur gamers to start their gaming experience with the PS2 and also all of you out there who cannot afford the hole that a PS3 burns in your pocket we still have a good number of games in the PS2…
So what would you prefer a PS2 or a PS3 ??? We have made ours so what is yours???

The new Prince of Persia (2008)
Its hard to forget the original Prince of Persia (1989) which ruled our desktops in the early 90’s. I was one of the very few kids in our area to be blessed with a PC then. Having spent most of my childhood playing the original Prince of Persia and the Prince of Persia 2: The Shadow and the Flame, even now (with over 10 years past) I can feel the emotional attachment to the name "Prince Of Persia". Although the recent versions of the game didn’t excite me, the Prince of Persia (2008) releasing later this year looks promising.

The original Prince of Persia (1989)
As you would see in the video downstairs this time our Prince has a female lead fighting on his side (instead of him running around to rescue the princess in the original 2 versions).
I don’t know if I would have the opportunity to play this one, But I can only pray that I get a month off to catchup with some games … In case any of you get your hands on anything new about the Prince of Persia do buzz me on the comments below.

Well it had to happen someday and now its official. PS3 outsells Nintendo Wii in November sales for the first time since both consoles were launched.
In the four weeks ending Nov. 25, Sony Corp. sold 183,217 PS3s in Japan, while Nintendo Co. sold 159,193 Wii consoles, market researcher Enterbrain reported Friday. PS3 has been a slow mover for Sony, however with better availability of games and better supply certainly helps them.
Although Wii has a very attractive pricing compared to PS3, Sony has managed to slowly capture lost ground. PS3 price cuts and a much more capable machine works to their advantage.
However this news comes at a time where Microsoft claims it sold twice the number of PS3’s during ‘Black Friday’ week.

As reported earlier by us and as per rumors Sony indeed has filed a patent for a advanced Gaming Cellphone but it is learnt that its NOT based on its popular PSP. Sony has previously used its brand names CybetShot & Walkman to promote its cellphones.
In a phone interview with Reuters UK, Sony Ericsson spokesperson Merran Wrigley commented that, "We’re continually evaluating other propositions but they have to be credible propositions. We’re not interested in sticking parts on phones that destroy the brand equity that’s been built up by Sony,"
Sony Ericsson plans to unveil products featuring music and imaging capabilities rather than gaming features at an event scheduled to take place in Berlin on June 14, Wrigley said.
The announcement comes two weeks before Apple launches sales of its widely anticipated music-playing iPhone in the United States on June 29
