Chinese smartphone companies are trying hard to make a mark in the Indian markets. Competing in the same race is Gionee. Gionee has been launching a lot of devices recently and also staunch on its ongoing marketing campaign. It has now launched a new budget smartphone – Gionee Pioneer P6 after its Gionee S5.1.
The Gionee Pioneer P6 is officially listed on the company’s website, but there are no details mentioning the price and availability of the same. On other hand, it has been listed at a price of INR 8890 on a third party online store.
Pioneer P6 features a 5-inch FWVGA HD display with a resolution of 480*854 pixels. It is clocked at 1.3GHz by a quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor. The Gionee P3 also sported a quadcore processor. The GPU is Mali 400 MP and it is coupled with a 1GB of RAM. It comes with a 8GB internal storage capacity. The memory capacity can be expanded using micro-SD card up to 32GB. The Gionee Pioneer P6 has a 5MP rear camera, with LED flash-light and a 2MP secondary camera. The rear camera is buffed with features like face detection, panorama, touch-to-focus, gesture shot, face beauty, etc.
The device supports dual-sim and the connectivity features are the usual ones like WiFi, Bluetooth, Radio, micro-USB besides 3G support. It runs on Android KitKat 4.4. Pioneer P6 is powered by a 1950mAh battery and is said to run for 13.5 hours of talktime and 162 hours of standby time on 2G network. It is presently available on eBay India.
