Much Awaited HTC Desire 826 To Hit The Chinese Markets

Earlier at this year’s CES’15, HTC expanded its Desire series of smartphones by launching HTC Desire 826 and HTC Desire 320. During its launch there were no specific details revealed on the availability of these devices. Although in a recent announcement, HTC said that the Desire 826 will go on sale in China from today i.e. 29th January. Users in China can buy it from HTC Eshop website. A variant of Desire 826 with 16GB of storage is priced at CNY 2,299 (around INR 22,600) and another variant with 32GB storage capacity is priced at CNY 2,499 (about INR 24,500).

Desire 826 is offered as a single-SIM and dual-SIM device depending on the region. It comes with a screen size of 5.5-inch giving a full-HD (1080*1920pixels) resolution. HTC Desire 826 is packed with an 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor. Four of these core clock at speed of 1.5GHz and the rest four run at 1GHz. Processor is coupled with Adreno 405 GPU and 2GB of RAM space. Desire 826 runs on Android Lollipop 5.0 with HTC Sense UI layered on top. Apart from the internal storage capacity of either 16GB or 32GB, the storage capacity can be extended upto 128GB.

This device comes with 4G support for both the SIMs. Other connectivity features bestowed for the device are WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and micro-USB. There is a lot for the shutterbugs in Desire 826. It holds a rear camera of 13MP with f/2.2 aperture and 28mm lens. The rear camera is also equipped with BSI sensor and LED flash. The front camera is of 4MP camera of UltraPixel type, especially designed for low light selfies. Other noticeable feature of Desire 826 include the BoomSound speakers with Dolby Audio. Battery compartment holds a 2600mAh battery which looks sufficient enough for a daily Joe. This smartphone is available in colours of White Birch, Blue Lagoon and Purple Fire.

Overall, Desire 826 looks good with all required features packed in it. HTC has not yet revealed exact availability dates for Desire 826 in India. But with the likes of Xiaomi Mi4 and Asus ZenFone already luring the users, it can be said that it will hit the Indian markets sooner than speculated. And it has already been listed on the HTC India’s site.
