All right, we went and broke the editorial style sheet rule that states that thou shall not use all capitals in a heading, but truth be told, we could not actually help it. We always knew that the iPhone 4 was not the most inexpensive of phones, but now it has been given a thorough designer makeover, with stacks of jewels thrown in, rechristened the iPhone ‘Diamond Rose’ and priced at an perfectly royal almost EIGHT MILLION (whoops, there go the capitals again) dollars. The man behind the creation is UK designer Stuart Hughes who has come up with “luxury” versions of phones in the past, including a solid gold iPhone 4.
However, what makes the $8 million iPhone 4 so expensive are a bezel studded with 500 individual, flawless rose diamonds, a back covered with rose gold, an Apple logo made of more than fifty diamonds and a home button made of platinum with a massive diamond stuck right in the middle for quality measure. Round that off with a 7kg granite chest for storing this (no, it does NOT fit snugly in your pocket) and you have a phone that’s worth a fortune. Honestly, we cannot imagine someone buying it to make calls. They are calling the world’s most expensive smart phone. We are not arguing! Check it out for yourself here.
