Acer To Debut Mid Range Liquid E1 Smartphone Soon

Acer might not be a huge name in the mobile phones space so far but the company does have a few decent handsets under its sleeve. Acer’s “Liquid” brand has been around since 2010 and the company didn’t do much in terms of promotion or launches to keep that brand alive. Anyway, news is that Acer has bought back the “Liquid” brand to vogue with the addition of a new mid-range handset to is portfolio of Android smartphones.

The handset, called the Liquid E1 boasts of a 4.5-inch display with a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels. Under the hood id a 1GHz dual-core processor with 1GB RAM and 4GB of internal storage. Users can increase the memory further using microSD cards. It runs on Android 4.1.1 (Jelly Bean), the latest version of the OS. Powering the hardware is a largish 1,760 mAh battery.

The phone boasts of a 5-megapixel auto-focus rear camera with LED flash. There is a front camera as well. This one however can shoot stuff only at VGA resolution. Connectivity wise, options are not bad at all with support for 4G LTE, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0. At 130 grams, this one is not a very heavy smartphone – for its size and measures just 9.9mm across. Not exactly think – but thin nevertheless.

As of now, there is no word regarding the pricing and availability of this one. There are chances that this one would be showcased by Acer at the upcoming MWC at Barcelona.
