Alongside the launch of Apple AirTags, iPad Pro 2021 and Apple TV 4K at the Spring Loaded event, the Cupertino based tech giant also announced an all-new iMac. The company completely redesigned the iMac from ground up. It also comes with Apple’s in-house Silicone processor.

iMac 2021 specifications and features
The new iMac 2021 is offered in a 24-inch IPS LCD Retina display bearing a 4.5K resolution. It offers 500 nits brightness, P3 wide colour gamut, and True Tone technology. The latest offering now features a flat back panel instead of a curved design found on the existing iMacs. The new iMac is just 11.5mm thick and is also offered in seven different colours including Green, Yellow, Orange, Pink, Purple, Blue and Silver.
The new iMac comes with a 1080p FaceTime HD camera that is an upgrade from 720p on the previous models. The device is also equipped with studio-quality mics and a six-speaker sound system including three woofers and three tweeters. Apple has also introduced an all-new Magic Keyboard with Touch ID for the iMac 2021. The wireless keyboard and mouse are offered in matching colours.
Under the hood, the iMac 2021 houses Apple’s ARM-based M1 chipset that is said to offer 85 percent faster CPU and 50 percent better GPU performance. The new iMac can be configured with up to 16GB RAM and 2TB storage. The base configuration packs 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD storage.
Connectivity options on the iMac 2021 include two Thunderbolt ports, WiFi 6, and two USB-C ports.
iMac 2021 price in India and availability
The new iMac with 7-core GPU starts at Rs 1,19,900 while the 8-core GPU iMac will retail from Rs 1,39,900. It will be available for pre-orders from April 30th with sales commencing from the second half of May.
