Apparently, if we are to go by a tweet from a guy known as Alvaro Fuentes Vasquez Google is planning to release Android 2.3 “Gingerbread” for the Nexus One in the next few days.
Now, if you are wondering who this person is, according to TechCrunch who did a little background check on him, he happens to be on the “leadership team” of the Open Handset Alliance. You know, the governing body that is backing the Android OS. In simpler terms, there is reason to believe that this guy isn’t bluffing around.
His Tweet in Spanish translates to: “Prepare your Nexus One (Developer version) for Android OTA update 2.3 (Gingerbread) in the next few days:-D”
There were rumors earlier that Gingerbread was arriving on November 11. Looking at the way things are moving, this might just turn out to be true. Oh, and remember the Gingerbread Man arriving at Google HQ?
