Quietly Brilliant: HTC Salsa and Sensation Go On Sale In India

HTC Salsa & Sensation

Just as we reported the Salsa is on sale in India and along with a bonus, the HTC Sensation. We have gone hands-on with both these devices in Mumbai and you would see almost all retailers (small or big) selling them later this week. While Salsa is one of the two Facebook phones that HTC shown at MWC, the Sensation sports a dual-core processor, hitting the top end of the Android lot along with LG Optimus 2x and Samsung Galaxy SII.

HTC Sensation features 768MB RAM and 1GB internal storage (we wonder why) along with the 1.2GHz Dual-core chip. The screen is at 4.3″ with qHD resolution (540×960). The camera is 8MP, capable of recording full HD video, a VGA front camera and all the standard sensors ranging from gyro to compass are stuffed into this. We are looking forward to Sense UI 3.0 implemented on the same.

HTC Salsa would be available at roughly Rs 20500 as we reported earlier, whereas the Sensation would be at Rs 30,500.

Update: 16th June 2011, HTC has officially announced the ‘Sensation’ In India. The announcement states the price as Rs 32,700. Nothing changes, you still have it in the market for Rs 30,500, go buy!
