Launch: HTC Sensation Android Phone, 1.2Ghz Snapdragon, Sense 3.0

HTC Sensation Smartphone Launch

HTC has gone official with its Sensation, Android phone. The device features a 4.3″ touchscreen that packs in qHD resolution (960×540) and some heavy horsepower. Sensation is powered by a dual-core 1.2GHz snapdragon CPU (this looks to be the same Qualcomm chip that HP Palm is using in their Touchpad), features 1GB internal memory with 768 MB RAM. The super LCD display on the Sensation has a contoured glass (remember the Nexus S?) that protests the display from scratches when placed screen first on the desk. HTC’s promo video after the jump:

The device sure is power packed and the qHD resolution is encouraging on an Android. Surprisingly we aren’t able to gather which version of Android HTC is running on this, but its running Sense UI 3.0. According to Engadget the aluminum unibody structure that HTC has adopted is a little different with Sensation, making the back of the device much more accessible. If you have seen this Mozart 7 video, you would know what we are talking about 🙂

HTC sensation would hit Europe first and then head to US this summer.
