As per reports from BGR, HTC is apparently working on a 4G LTE Windows Phone which will be released in early 2012. This will be the first 4G LTE Windows Phone and will be released with AT&T.
In other fascinating news, HTC is rumored to have a pretty lean schedule for handsets release in 2012 with the early first half of 2012 only witnessing the HTC Elite as their flagship device along with the 4G Windows Phone.
Elite is believed to run on Ice Cream Sandwich and have the Beats Audio as well. Beats Audio has been a consistent feature in all the high end HTC devices since they signed a contract with Dr. Dre in the second half of 2011.
HTC will release less number of handsets in 2012 as compared to last year. They apparently would be concentrating on releasing quality handsets which would create an impact in the market.
HTC saw a massive slump in sales in the latter half of 2011 as a result of which they are in line to concede their number one smartphone manufacturer spot in the US to Samsung.
