Finnish handset maker Nokia has announced new low-end handset aimed at the music enthusiasts – Nokia X1-00. Appearing to be younger brother of X2, the new Nokia X1-00 runs Symbian 30 mobile operating system (yes, it exists). Rated with 106phon (phone is unit to measure loudness), the X1-00 has enough power to shatter the glass panes of your windows. This loudness also helps you enjoy music even in loud public places.
Low-end Nokia X1-00 has 1.8-inch display supporting 128×160 pixel resolution. This dual-band GSM phone is 16mm thin and comes with three dedicated music keys. Yes, the phone obviously does have stereo FM and music player that allows playing your favorite MP3 tracks. Because it is an X-series smartphone, X1-00 has a 3.5mm audio jack to plug your favorite headphones. Else you can listen the music on the built-in loudspeaker.
As part of multi-media, this phone comes with 20 themes and 5 games pre-loaded. Storage isn’t an issue for one can add up to 16GB microSD card in the hot-swappable microSD card slot. One of the few unique features in the X1-00 is that the phone is capable of holding up to five phonebooks.
By April, Nokia X1-00 is planned to hit retail in select markets for 35 Euros or $50 – which accounts to about Rs. 2,250 approximately.
