At an event held in China today, LeEco unveiled it’s much-rumoured update to its smartphone series. The company announced three smartphones among different price ranges. The budget smartphone Le 2 which is approxiamtely priced at 1099 RMB (Rs. 11,300 approx.), a mid-range smartphone Le 2 Pro which is priced for 1499 RMB (Rs. 15,350 approx.) and the premium range smartphone Le Max 2 for 2099 RMB (Rs. 21,500 approx.). This series will succeed the Le 1 series.
To begin with, let’s have a look at the LeEco Le 2 which is the successor to the LeEco Le 1S smartphone. The budget smartphone Le 2 sports a a 5.5” InCell Full HD display. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with the EUI interface on top. At the core of the phone is a Media Tek powered Helio X20 processor clocked at 2.3 GHz along with a 3GB RAM. The phone has 16MP rear camera and a 8MP front facing camera. It also has 32 GB of internal storage and 3000 mAh battery which has fast charging support as well.
Then comes the midrange offering, Le 2 Pro which is priced at approx. 15,350 rupees. Like the Le 2 smartphone, the phone runs the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow and has its EUI interface on top. The device has a same InCell Full HD display but comes with top notch Media Tek Helio X25 chipset. The chipset is clocked at 2.5 GHz and is paired with 4GB RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. When it comes to camera, the Le 2 Pro comes with 21 MP rear camera and a 8 MP selfie camera. The Le 2 Pro also comes with 3000 mAh battery.
The third one in the series is the phablet Le Max 2. The device has a 5.7-inch Quad HD resolution. The device runs the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow, comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset and a massive 6GB of RAM in the higher end variant which has 64GB internal storage. The phone comes with a 21 MP rear camera and the usual 8 MP camera. The device is available in 2 variants, one with 4GB of RAM along with 32 GB of internal storage which is priced at 2099 RMB i.e approx. 21,462. Whereas, the other variant sports 6 GB RAM and is priced at 2499 RMB i.e Rs. 25,552 approx. It can be assumed that in order to keep the weight in check, the device is powered by a 3100mAh battery.
The features which are common across all the three devices are that they all have full metal bodies, USB Type-C port and ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
