The Lenovo A7000 will have its first sale on Flipkart today. The device is priced at Rs. 8,999 and registrations for the sale have been closed. The device which was launched in India last week is the successor to the Lenovo A6000. At the time of its launch, the Lenovo A6000 was the cheapest 4G enabled phone in the country. The A7000 too will be support 4G speeds and has got a few spec bumps from its predecessor.
The device has a 5.5 inch screen with a 720p display. This takes the pixel density to an average 267 PPI. It runs on a 1.5GHz Octa Core processor and is packed with 2GB RAM. The phone comes with a standard 8GB storage but has a microSD card slot that supports cards up to 32GB. In terms of camera, it has an 8 Megapixel camera on the back and a Megapixel one on the front. The rear camera has a LED flashlight. One of the highlights of the phone is its battery. It is a 2900mAh one and should easily last a day. The phone is shipped with Android Lollipop (5.0) and will run Lenovo’ Vibe UI over it.
Lenovo is the world’s leading seller of PC’s and ranks third in sales of mobile devices. They are definitely seeing India as a huge market and are launching great value for money devices here. China-based Xiaomi is facing tough competition from Lenovo as Lenovo is following some of the same strategies that they did to sell their devices. With that, we mean selling reasonably priced phones through flash sales. Selling online only helps companies cut down on distribution costs and helps them sell the device at a lower price. And flash sales also create a buzz around the device and mostly they sell out within seconds of the sale. Now we will have to wait and see if Lenovo can meet with the same success with A7000 that they did with the A6000.
Thanks for such a useful information. I was thinking of buying this smartphone. It seems to be a nice smartphone at affordable price
