Mobile World Congress (MWC) an annual tech trade show held at the end of February was postponed to June this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, this did not deter smartphone manufacturers from launching a plethora of devices.
Many brands launched smartphones ranging across various price segments i.e. budget, mid-range and flagships. These devices debuted in the Indian as well as global market. We have created a list of all smartphones launched this month in this post. Take a look below.
Redmi Note 10 series
The Redmi Note 10 series arrives as the successor to last year’s Redmi Note 9 series. The lineup consists of a standard, Pro, and Pro Max variant.
The Redmi Note 10 Pro and Pro Max are the first in the entire Redmi Note lineup to feature an AMOLED display with a 6.67-inch screen and 120Hz refresh rate panel. The devices offer a peak brightness of 1,200 nits and HDR10 support. There is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner embedded in the power button.
Both smartphones share the same internals and design. The Redmi Note 10 Pro and Pro Max are powered by a Snapdragon 732G processor paired with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage. The smartphones are backed by a 5,020mAh battery unit with support for 33W fast charging and run on Android 11 out of the box.
The Redmi Note 10 Pro and Pro Max come with a quad-camera setup with the former having a 64MP main sensor while the latter featuring a 108MP lens. The rest of the camera sensors on both devices include an 8MP ultra-wide lens, a 5MP super macro unit and a 2MP depth sensor. The smartphones are fitted with a 16MP front-facing snapper.
On the other hand, the Redmi Note 10 features a 60Hz FHD+ LCD display measuring 6.43-inches. The smartphone retains the same specifications as the Pro and Pro Max variants apart from the primary camera and processor. The standard Redmi Note 10 comes with a 48MP main sensor and is powered by a Snapdragon 678 SoC.

Realme 8 series
The Realme 8 and Realme 8 Pro are the successors to last year’s Realme 7 and 7 Pro. The latest offerings sport a 6.4-inch punch-hole sAMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution, 1000 nits brightness and an in-screen fingerprint scanner.
The Realme 8 series features a quad-camera setup with the Pro variant equipped with a 108MP primary sensor and the standard variant with a 64MP main lens. Both devices come with an 8MP ultra-wide lens, 2MP BnW unit and a 2MP macro shooter. The smartphones are fitted with a 16MP selfie snapper.
Internally, the Realme 8 Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 720G SoC while the standard model houses a MediaTek Helio G95 chipset. The latter also comes with a liquid cooling system for heat dissipation. The smartphones pack up to 8GB RAM and 128GB native storage. The Pro variant draws its power from a 4,500mAh battery unit with support for 50W SuperDart charge while the standard model is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with a 30W Dart charge.

OnePlus 9 series
The OnePlus 9 series comprises of a standard and Pro variant. The latest offerings arrive as a successor to last year’s OnePlus 8 series.
The standard OnePlus 9 has a flat 6.55-inch FHD+ display while the Pro variant features a curved screen measuring 6.67-inches with QHD+ resolution. Both devices come with a 120Hz refresh rate and an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Under the hood, the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro are powered by a Snapdragon 888 processor coupled with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB internal storage. The devices are backed by a 4,500mAh battery unit with support for 65T Warp Charge technology. The Pro model also supports 50W wireless charging. The standard and Pro variants ship with OxygenOS 11 based on Android 11.
In the camera department, the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro is fitted with a 16MP selfie snapper. Both variants come with a Hasselblad camera system. The standard model is equipped with a triple camera setup of a 48MP main sensor, 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP mono unit. The Pro variant also features the same sensors but comes with an additional 8MP telephoto lens. With the Hasselblad system, the OnePlus 9 series offers Natural Colour Calibration and professional functions for a fine-tuned photography experience.
The OnePlus 9 series comes with connectivity options like 5G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, dual-frequency GPS, stereo speakers and a USB-C port.

Samsung Galaxy A72 and A52
The Samsung Galaxy A52 and A72 are the successors to last year’s Galaxy A51 and A71. Both smartphones come with slightly different specifications.
The Galaxy A52 and A72 feature punch-hole AMOLED display with the former having a 6.5-inch screen while the latter offering a slightly larger 6.7-inch screen. Both phones offer an FHD+ display and a 90Hz refresh rate panel.
On the hardware front, the Galaxy A52 and A72 are powered by a Snapdragon 720G processor paired with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB native storage. The former is backed by a 4,500mAh battery while the latter runs on a 5,000mAh battery with both supporting 25W fast charging.
The Samsung Galaxy A52 and A72 sport quad-rear cameras comprising of a 64MP main sensor paired with a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens. However, the Galaxy A52 comes with a 5MP depth and 5MP macro sensor while the A72 is equipped with an 8MP telephoto lens and a 5MP macro unit. Both smartphones are fitted with a 32MP front-facing camera.

OPPO F19 Pro series
The OPPO F19 Pro is a 4G device while the F19 Pro+ 5G is a 5G compatible smartphone. Both smartphones come with a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and an in-screen fingerprint scanner. Design-wise, the OPPO F19 Pro series flaunts a gradient back panel and houses a rectangular camera module.
Both the F19 Pro and Pro+ 5G are equipped with a quad-camera setup of a 48MP main sensor, an 8MP wide-angle lens, a 2MP portrait and a 2MP macro unit. Both devices feature a 16MP selfie camera on the front.
Internally, the OPPO F19 Pro is powered by an Helio P95 processor. On the other hand, the Pro+ 5G is equipped with a Dimensity 800U processor with support for dual-mode 5G network. Both devices pack up to 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage. The smartphones are backed by a 4,310mAh battery unit with the F19 Pro supporting 30W fast charging while the Pro+ 5G variant featuring 50W charging.

ASUS ROG Phone 5
The ASUS ROG Phone 5 is the successor to ROG Phone 3. The latest generation gaming smartphone from the Taiwanese brand is offered in standard, Pro and Ultimate variants. However, the three devices share the same specifications and are differentiated only in RAM configurations.
The ASUS ROG Phone 5 series boasts of a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and 144Hz refresh rate screen. It offers 800 nits brightness, HDR10 support and an in-screen fingerprint scanner.
The ROG Phone 5 trio are powered by a Snapdragon 888 coupled with up to 18GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. The smartphones run on Android 11 OS and are backed by dual 3,000mAh batteries (total 6,000mAh) with support for 30W fast charging. There is an internal cooling system for heat dissipation.
The ROG Phone 5 series is equipped with Air Trigger 5 controls for gaming purposes. The Pro and Ultimate variants also feature two capacitive sensors on the back panel. OPPO Find X3 series
The OPPO Find X3 and X3 Pro arrive as the successors to last year’s Find X2 lineup. The latest offerings pack significant upgrades over its predecessor.
The Find X3 and X3 Pro sport a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a punch-hole cutout and curved edges. The device offers a QHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 1,300 nits brightness. Both smartphones are equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner.
The Find X3 and X3 Pro come with a unique square camera module design that elevates from the sides of the back panel. The camera setup comprises of a 50MP primary sensor, 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 13MP telephoto unit and a 3MP macro shooter. Both devices feature a 32MP selfie snapper.
A flagship Snapdragon 888 processor fitted under the hood keeps the Find X3 and X3 Pro running. The Pro variant packs 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and offers 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. Vivo X60 series
The standard Vivo X60 has a flat AMOLED screen while the Pro and Pro+ variants come with a curved display measuring 6.56-inches. All three devices offer FHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and an in-screen fingerprint scanner.
The standard and Pro variants of X60 sport a triple rear camera setup of 48MP main lens, 13MP portrait sensor and a 13MP ultra-wide-angle unit. The Pro model also features Gimbal 2.0 stabilisation.
