It was just days ago that we first heard of Nokia’s soon to arrive X-Series device, the X7-00. It was accompanied with a video that showcased the phone running Need For Speed Shift. A week or so down the line, we have a few more, clearer images of the same phone thereby sort of confirming the existence of this one. The phone, this time shown in black looks a lot slimmer than the one shown in the earlier leaked image.
Another interesting thing about this phone is that the device is shown to be AT&T branded. This would make the device the first Symbian^ 3 device that would be seen on AT&T. Talking about Symbian^3, if you have used the platform briefly, you might have noticed that in its current form it has the option for three homescreens. On the X7 however, you can clearly see the option for four. This makes us suspect that the device would be running an updated version of Symbian ^3 when launched.
It is also unclear as to when the launch of the X7 is slated for. With major expos scheduled in the next few months, we believe it could happen at around the time the CES ends and we start preparing for the Mobile World Congress scheduled in February.
That said, many people think the phone is er.. ugly. What do you think?
