2012 is far off but that doesn’t stop rumors of potential smartphones coming out at CES. Motorola is said to be working on a couple of Nvidia Tegra 3 smartphones for Q1 2012. Given the Q1 timeframe, we might well expect this to be shown at CES in Jan 2012. Nvidia’s timeline for the Tegra 3 mentioned year end delivery, which sounds good for a Q1 launch.
The phones are said to be named Jet and Bullet, apt title for quad-core smartphones. The OS isn’t mentioned, but its got to be some version of Android. We also have the rumored specs for both these devices. The Jet (not to be confused with Samsung Jet, its a codename) features a physical qwerty, 4″ qHD screen (960×540), 12MP camera & 1 or 1.5GB RAM. On the other hand the Bullet is said to feature a full touchscreen design (4.3″ qHD) with the remaining specs being the same as the Jet. Both devices are loaded with NFC chip and 16GB onboard memory. No word on LTE support for now.
We take this with a pinch of salt, primarily due to Droid-life itself saying they aren’t 100% sure. And then the product in question is 7 months away. In this industry, the world can change in that much time. For now, the wait for Droid X2 continues.
