HMD Global had relaunched the Nokia brand last year by launching smartphones like Nokia 3, Nokia 5, Nokia 6 and Nokia 3310 (2017) feature phone. Since the new Nokia 3310 carried support for 2G connectivity only, the Finnish firm had relaunched it support for 3G connectivity in some markets. The company has now released a newer edition of the Nokia 3310 that carries support for 4G VoLTE and Wi-Fi.
Nokia 3310 4G Design
In terms of design, there is no major difference between the new Nokia 3310 4G and its 2G variant from previous model. The device measures 117 x 52.4 x 13.4mm and it weighs 88.1 grams. The handset comes in two color choices such as Fresh Blue and Deep Black.
Nokia 3310 4G Specifications
The Nokia 3310 4G features a TFT display of 2.4 inches that carries support for a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. On top of the display is a polarized film that makes it usable even under direct sunlight.
The official listing of the phone states that it features 256 MB of RAM and internal storage of 512 MB. It will be capable of supporting up to 64 GB of microSD card on its external storage slot. It comes pre-loaded with YunOS, a modified version of Android. Even though it supports native Android apps, there is no mentioning of which apps will be supported by the phone.
On the backside of the Nokia 3310 4G resides the LED enabled 2-megapixel camera. The connectivity options available on the Nokia 3310 4G include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0 and 3.5mm audio jack. It also features FM radio and carries support for single SIM card. The handset is equipped with a 1,200mAh battery that promises a 4G VoLTE standby time of 12 days and talk time of 5 hours.
Nokia 3310 4G Pricing
The Nokia 3310 4G will be available in February through China Mobile in China. However, there is no information available on its pricing. Rumors have that a global variant of the phone may get unveiled at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 in Barcelona, Spain.
Even though there is no information available on the arrival of Nokia 3310 4G, Digit has claimed that Reliance Jio may team up with the Finnish firm to release the new feature phone in India. The mobile operator is likely to bundle the phone with voice and data offers. It is speculated that the company may also release a refreshed version of Nokia N-Gage and Nokia E72 phones with 4G support in future.
