HMD Global has recently started selling the Nokia 1 Android Go smartphone in India. Today, through an unveil event in New Delhi, the Finnish company announced the arrival of Nokia 6 (2018), Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia 8 Sirocco smartphones in India. These handsets were showcased at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 that was held in Barcelona, Spain in February this year. HMD Global had also announced the Nokia 8110 4G phone at MWC 2018. However, since the company did not announce it in India, it is likely that it may be made available in the coming months.
Nokia 1
The Nokia 1 has gone on sale in India since March 28. The original pricing of the phone is Rs. 5,499. However, for existing and new Jio customers, the smartphone comes with a pricing of Rs. 3,299 through a cashback offer of Rs. 2,200.
The Nokia 1 is an entry-level smartphone that features a 4.5-inch display that supports a low resolution of 854 x 480 pixels. The MediaTek MT6737M SoC and 1 GB of RAM powers the phone along with 2,150mAh battery. It has a rear camera of 5-megapixel and a selfie snapper of 2-megapixel.
Nokia 6 (2018)
The Nokia 6 (2018) will be available for purchasing from April 6 with a pricing of Rs. 16,999. One should be aware of the fact that the aforementioned pricing belongs to the 3 GB RAM variant of the phone. The 4 GB RAM model may debut some time in the near future. The Nokia 8 (2018) can be availed in colors such as Black/Copper, White/Iron and Blue/Gold. HMD Global has also announced special cash back offers, but it did not reveal any detailed information on it.
The Nokia 6 (2018) specs include 5.5-inch FHD display, Snapdragon 630 chipset, 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of inbuilt storage, microSD card slot and 3,000mAh battery with fast charging support. For photography, it features 16-megapixel ZIESS optics and 8-megapixel front-facing camera. It is an Android One phone which runs stock version of Android 8.0 Oreo.
Nokia 7 Plus
Nokia 7 Plus that comes with flagship cameras will be available on pre-orders beginning from April 20 and its sales will start off on April 30. The handset is priced at Rs. 25,999 and it can be bought in colors like Black/Copper and White/Copper. It will be available for buying through Nokia Mobile Shop, Amazon and offline outlets. For Nokia 7 Plus, the company will be offering special cash back offers.
The Nokia 7 Plus is the first only phone from the company to feature 18:9 aspect ratio supporting screen. The Snapdragon 660 SoC powers it with 4 GB of RAM. Its native storage is 64 GB and it includes a microSD card slot. It has a 3,800mAh battery enabled with fast charging. The dual camera setup on its rear includes 13-megapixel wide-angle ZIESS lens and a 12-megapixel telephoto ZEISS lens with 2x optical zoom support. It has a selfie camera of 16-megapixel. The handset also comes loaded with Android One version of Android 8.0 Oreo.
Nokia 8 Sirocco
The Nokia 8 Sirocco flagship phone’s pre-bookings will start on April 20 and its sales will begin on April 30. Flipkart will be exclusively selling the phone online. It will be also available through Nokia Mobile Shop and offline channels. It can be bought in Black color only and it will be priced at Rs. 49,999. The Nokia 8 Sirocco will be also available with attractive cash back offers.
The Nokia 8 Sirocco, an improved version of the original Nokia 8 phone is powered the same Snapdragon 835 chipset. It has a 5.5-inch dual-edge curved display that offers QHD resolution. The SoC is supported by 6 GB of RAM. Its inbuilt storage is 64 GB and a microSD card slot is available for more storage. It has the same dual rear cameras that is available on the Nokia 7 Plus. It has a front camera of 5-megapixel. It draws power from 3,20mAh battery that includes support for fast charging. It is loaded with Android One edition of Android 8.1 Oreo.
