Nokia’s launch of its next generation Windows Phone 8 devices, Lumia 920 & Lumia 820 didn’t go exactly as planned and was criticised by tech industry pundits across the globe due to lack of any info on the availability or even pricing of the devices. The Lumia 920 camera controversy didn’t help matters either, but actually made it much worse for Nokia having their PR machinery to go into the overdrive mode to save face.
Finally, few of Nokia subsidiaries have managed to put a date on these devices and reveal its pricing for its consumers with Nokia Russia pricing the Lumia 920 at 24,990 rubles ($801) and the Lumia 820 at 19,990 rubles ($640). They are also accepting pre-orders for the same already.
Whereas, Nokia Germany has priced the Lumia 920 at 649 euros ($836) and the Lumia 820 at 499 euros ($643), whereas Nokia Italy prices it slightly lower at 599 euros ($771) for the Lumia 920. Both have announced the availability of these devices in mid-November.
The Lumia 920 would be available in Black, white, red and yellow colours whereas the Lumia 820 would be available in white, black and red only.
Nokia has stated that they do not have any official prices or launch dates for the UK yet. But with countries like Russia, Italy and Germany announcing it, you can expect Nokia UK to come with the info soon.
