Though, the Nokia N9 will soon be discontinued by Nokia that doesn’t stop the Nokia fans from still craving for the “could be” device.
And Nokia too seems to be teasing the fans of the N9 as they have released a new white colored version of the N9 which will be made available to the public in the fourth quarter of 2011 itself. As per Nokia Conversations the light colored beauty would be available in 64Gb versions.
It’s also slightly different than the other colored versions of the N9 as it has a glossy finish. Frank Zillikens, head of product marketing said that creating the white model was a bit complex and they were having issues with it and Nokia didn’t want to compromise on the quality aspect of the product and this why the white version of the N9 is being launched this late.
The other good news for the fans of the Nokia Meego device is that the N9 will soon be receiving a software update which is also expected in the fourth quarter of 2011 and will add various usability improvements to device including music control keys on the lock screen, exiting apps by swiping them down and NFC tag reading.
So does all this mean that Nokia has changed its mind about Meego? Well, the answer is certainly no. 🙂
